Meet the Principals

Jason and Darren have been working together for over five years. They first bonded over their shared backgrounds in operations and passion for engineering, and their relationship only continued to grow once they discovered their mutual affinity for Rush, Bowie and buttered popcorn flavor jelly beans.

Jason has a knack for quickly assessing situations and understanding overall client needs, while Darren has the eternal patience necessary to fully account for every last detail needed to execute the most complex projects–and to put up with Jason. Together, they make a formidable team.

I grew up the middle son of two Italian immigrants in Orange County, NY. Both my parents were industrious, my mother exceptionally creative and my father terrifyingly resourceful. No surprise, then, that I was drawn to engineering: the challenge and the opportunity, or maybe the necessity, to create something from nothing. The chance to shape something borne of my own vision.

Darren D. Doetsch, PE | Vice President

Growing up in rural Callicoon, NY, where not much happened unless you made it, I was an explorer from a young age. Curious about how things worked, I began my engineering career by taking apart broken spring-loaded pens, fixing them and putting them back together again for classmates. I learned about how people worked, too, by helping my father run his drug store. Both these experiences would shape my career path, where I’d find that good design requires more than springs and screws; good design has people in mind.
